'Celeste' are superior

Uruguay made a good impression in the group stage as they finished in 1st place They won 4-0 over Ecuador in their opening game, followed by another win,1-0 win over Chile in the last round. In the midtime they played a 2-2 draw with Japan who they underestimated, however, they had many chances to win though. They were considered among the favorites to win the trophy from the very beginning, actually, they've already done it 15 times in the past. Uruguay have an excellent generation in the most recent years, starring in almost all the tournaments they participated.

On the other hand, it's a miracle that Peru participate in Copa America quarter-finals, since with only 4 points they were just depended on the result of the game between Ecuador and Japan. If that game had a winner, they would have qualified instead of Peru. However, the draw was the outcome, and Peru grabbed the chance. The fact is that Peru didn't shine in the group stage, except for their win over weak Bolivia. In their opening game, they played a bore draw with Venezuela and then they suffered a huge 5-0 loss to Brazil in a game that they could have conceded more goals.

Uruguay's target is to go all the way while Peru could be satisfied just reaching the quarter-finals. Uruguay are clearly superior in this one and I expect them to take another victory to qualify in the semi-finals of the tournament.
