Melbourne City, on the other hand, is ranked at the 2nd spot with 37 points and comes after three wins a draw and a loss over the last five matches. They are in the semi finals for the playoffs, but their rivals are one game short, so they have to keep on winning games, if they want to avoid entering the playoffs at an earlier stage.

They have the second best attack in the league with 37 goals scored so far and despite not being that great on the road this season, they will face the worst team in the league here. Melbourne City won against them 3-1 earlier while playing at home and I guess they should be able to repeat that performance.

In conclusion, I think Melbourne City can win this match. They are the better team here and comes in a good form. With a striker like Maclaren who has already netted 15 goals so far, I see them as big favorites to grab three points here and a serious contender for the second place. Central Coast Mariners are just too poor for the moment and have nothing to offer in terms of quality.
