Central Coast Mariners vs Melbourne City Match Preview

Central Coast Mariners face Melbourne City for the 22nd round of the Australian A-League at the Central Coast Stadium. 

Central Coast Mariners failed to revert the mediocre performances as they suffered another defeat in the league, 1-0 to Brisbane Roar. This was the ninth consecutive defeat for Central Coast Mariners.

They remain in the rock bottom of the table having just 13 points. They have registered four wins and one draw after 21 rounds played. They have the worst defense in the league with 47 goals conceded. A crucial missing for Alen Stajcic's team is the 23-year-old Daniel De Silva. 

Melbourne City after the great 2-3 victory in Perth over Perth Glory, drew 1-1 in the previous round against Sydney Wanderers. They performed really well in the first half but failed to get all three points.

Today they will seek victory in order to maintain their position in the standings. Their striker Jamie Maclaren continues his exceptional performances.
