Chelsea vs Leicester Match Preview

Chelsea lost the FA Cup final to Leicester 1-0. Both teams appeared very careful, as is usual in finals. If there was one team that deserved the trophy, it was Chelsea. They created two great chances but failed to take advantage of them. Leceister did not have so good chances, while the goal was scored by long shot.

In the Premier League, Chelsea was defeated by Arsenal in a game where again the least they deserved was a draw. CoaTuhel has changed them tremendously, they have dramatically improved their defensive function and now there is a plan on how to attack. The only doubtful to play is Christensen.

What Leicester has achieved in recent years is impressive. A team, without the financial support of the big ones, creates very competitive sets. This season also marked the end of all this effort, by winning a trophy. In the FA Cup final, they may have been inferior to their opponent, but that in no way diminishes the importance of winning the trophy.

As for the Premier League, they deservedly beat Manchester United 1-2 at Old Trafford, although they met a much-rotated team. Barnes and Justin will not be available for the game.

Chelsea is involved in the Champions League affair and has no room for other lost points, as Liverpool is approaching dangerously. They may have the upcoming Champions League final with City, but they definitely want to secure their next season's Champions League place through the league. Leicester has not secured a top-four place either, but it is difficult for them not to succeed. The home side to win is my final call.
