Chelsea vs Manchester City Match Preview

Chelsea is ranked at 6th place with 26 points and comes in a bad momentum after a single win a draw and three losses over the last five matches. This has caused them to fall from the Champions League zone and now sit three points below the 4th place while having a tough duel ahead of them.

Their offensive side has been pretty great this season with 31 goals in total averaging almost two goals per game and in fact, they have the third-best in the league. In the last five matches, they scored six goals averaging at least a goal per game despite all the negative results. At home, they are the team with the second-best performance so far and scored 11 goals over the last five matches, failing to score only in the goalless draw against the Spurs.

Manchester City, on the other hand, is ranked at 8th place with 26 points and comes in a much better form after three wins and two losses over the last five matches. They also have two games in hand, considering the postponed game against Everton, so their chances to climb in ranks are pretty high.

They have scored 21 goals in 14 matches and in the last five matches they scored six goals averaging at least a goal per game. This is not what we would expect from a team like them but they are slowly getting there. Aguero is finally playing with consistency and is expected to be on the starting line up here.

In conclusion, I think both teams can score at least a goal here. Chelsea is having a bad run but they find a rival that will miss their first-choice keeper because of Covid-19 and also Walker. Playing with their second keeper against a very offensive team like Chelsea could prove to be a difficult challenge for the Citizens. Manchester City will be highly motivated to grab three points considering the two false steps of Liverpool and despite missing some players I think they have more than enough offensive quality to score a goal.
