Chelsea vs Southampton Match Preview

Chelsea face Southampton for the 5th round of the English Premier League.

In the previous round, Chelsea prevailed over Crystal Palace with an impressive score of 4-0. In the first half, Chelsea struggled a bit on creating chances over their opponents, but in the second half, they totally dominated in the pitch and managed to score 4 times, returning to winning ways after this result. With these three points, they reached a total of 7 and currently they are sitting at the 7th place of the standings. 

Southampton comes also from a victory in the previous round of the English Premier League, where they faced West Brom and prevailed by 2-0. Since they entered the pitch, Southampton conquered in the field and by scoring one goal on each half, they fairly got the three points, getting this way their second consecutive win in the league. Also, a positive outcome for the team, is that they managed to keep a clean sheet for a second consecutive match. After this result, Southampton are currently placed at the middle of the table, with 6 points.

Chelsea are fairly the big favorites of the match but considering their many defensive gaps, it gives Southampton a great chance to make some trouble here. My choice for this one will be Over 2,5 goals to be scored.
