Hertha Berlin vs Schalke Match Preview

Hertha Berlin face Schalke for the 20th round of the German Bundesliga at the Olympiastadion Berlin.

After the winter break, Hertha Berlin suffered a heavy 0-4 home defeat to Bayern Munich, while last Saturday they took a great win against Wolfsburg by 1-2. The scorers of the match were Jordan Torunarigha and Dodi Lukebakio.

They are currently placed quite low in the table, at 13th place, six points above the relegation zone. However, Jurgen Klinsmann's roster have a quality that definitely not deflects with their spot in the standings. They got great motivation from their victory in the previous round and now they have an opportunity to get all three points at their home. In the next round they will play another home game, against Mainz.

On the other hand, Schalke lost in Munich to Bayern in the previous round, with the heavy 5-0. A defeat that came easily, as they were unable to hold the Bayern's attacking play.

They have now dropped at the 6th place in the standings, with a total of 33 points, being three points away from the top four. In the next round, they will host Padernborn at Veltins-Arena.

Hertha Berlin are currently low in the standings, although, they have the quality and the potential to change things up. With their last performance and their current motivation, they should continue their good run, in front of their fans. Schalke are a strong team, but they didn't show anything in the previous round. Hertha Berlin to win at 2.87 odds is my call in this one.
