Club Brugge are the favorites

Club Brugge scored a goal from the very beginning in the first leg and eventually, their 1-0 win in Austria came naturally. The home team had the ball possession and missed some decent chances, however, Club Brugge had more experience in such games, so they managed to secure their lead till the end and make an important qualification step for the Champions League group stage. Last weekend they didn't have any domestic tasks in Jupiler League, their match was postponed to get prepared better for tonight's crucial match. Defender Mechele isn't 100% fit yet so he is last minute's decision. He didn't perform as well last week in Austria.

LASK eliminated Basil with two wins in the previous round, so they were on a high flying mood in the first leg against Club Brugge. However, they conceded a goal quite early and that changed their plans. Even though they tried to return in the game in order to increase their hopes for the second leg. They created many chances and they deserved to score at least a goal, however, they didn't. Tonight they will try to make a difficult comeback, against a team with great experience in such games. In their domestic league, they registered a 1-2 win in Rapid Vienna's home, improving their total record (4-1-0). The central defender C.Ramsebner, as well as the Japanese midfielder Oh In-pyo, who hasn't performed yet this season, are not available tonight.

Club Brugge will probably try to risk the minimum possible tonight, however, I believe that their opponent will leave empty spaces, as LASK Linz need to score at least a goal. In my point of view, the Austrians have the quality to find the net, but it's difficult to keep a clan sheet. BTTS was my choice in the first leg (lost), but whoever watched the match last week would agree that it was a good choice. Over 2.5 goals is my call for this second leg.
