Conflicts and chaos

In the previous round West Ham became the first team who stopped Chelsea after 5 concecutive wins of them. They stopped their opponents from scoring and also they missed 2-3 very good goal chances. They have made a progress in comparison to the first games in the Premier League and their 17th place in the table does not represent their efforts in the field. In the middle of the week, they crushed Macclesfield (8-0) in a game for the League Cup, a very useful boost in their moral.

Manchester United is in a rought time in the tournament this season! First the conflicts between the players and the coach, their relations can't be worse, then the elimination from League Cup in the middle of the week from a team of Championshio followed the 1-1 draw with Wolves in home. How worse could it be? All these by the time we thought that they had found their tempo after two concecutive wins for the Premier League and one for the Champions League. Now they are travelling to London to face West Ham and they can't afford losing points as they are -8 from the top.

On the one hand West Ham are on a good momentum and on the other hand Manchester can't get over all these things painlessly. As long as they don't get positive results things aren't going to change. This year can become a very difficult one for Jose Mourinho and I doubt about how much his players would like to play for him. Both teams to score will be my bet.
