D. Zagreb (Cro) - Shkupi (Mkd) Match Preview

Croatian champions Dinamo Zagreb will play against the champions of North Macedonia Shkupi. The Croatian side is the big favorite to win this match and they should have no problems doing just that. 

Croatian league has started and Dinamo won in their first-round match. They also won the Super Cup final by beating arch-rivals Hajduk after penalties. Tthe have a terrific team, who lost only three matches in Zagreb in 2022. Last season they were eliminated in the Round of 16 of the UEFA Europa League by Sevilla. Even Sevilla had lost in Zagreb in February.

Shkupi eliminated Lincoln from Gibraltar in the previous round. They were lucky to do that even though they had won the first match 3-0. The domestic league is yet to start. In preseason friendlies they did not record a single win, three defeats, and one draw. I believe that they have nothing to hope for in this match-up.

Dinamo Zagreb is regular in the group stage of European competitions. At Maksimir they rarely lose, actually, they are on a 12-match unbeaten streak at home. In that interval, they won nine matches and drew in three. Shkupi will try their best but they will not be able to avoid a big defeat.
