Manchester City registered a huge 7-0 win against Rotherham and qualified to the 4th round of FA Cup (last 32). Now they have another easy cup game to play, for the Carambao League Cup. Premier League Champions will face Burton Albion for the semi finals, a team who perform in League One. Their upcoming Premier League game is a home game vs Wolves, not a tough task for the Champions. Based on this, Guardiola will choose a strong line up in this first leg, in order to secure the qualification quite early and to have the option to rotate hi team in the second leg which takes place in Pirelli Stadium, two weeks later.

Burton Albion's performance is quite average in League One after their relegation from the Championship. 'Brewers' sit in the middle of the table, far away from the places that lead to promotion playoff. However. Burton's journey in Carambao League Cup was reamarkable, as they've already eliminated Shrewsbury, Aston Villa, Burnley, Nottingham Forest and Middlesbrough. Now they will see how far they can go against the Champions. There is a quality difference for sure that don't give them realistic hopes, however team's manager N.Clough will do his best to avoid a huge defeat, so as to celebrate in the second leg with their fans their presence in Carambao League Cup semi finals.

Manchester City were defeated from Crystal Palace and Leicester, however they found again their momentum, after their three concecutive wins in all tournaments. The most important one, was against the first-placed Liverpool (2-1). May Guardiola isn't concerned about League Cup, but this opponent can give the 'Citizens' a big opportunity to fight for a trophy in February. Everybody expect that this game will be an easy task for Man City, but the question is how many goals can home team score. Asian Handicap -3 will be my call, as I expect the 'Citizens' win with a wide margin, something like a 4-0 or 5-0 final score.
