Empoli vs Crotone Match Preview

Empoli face Crotone for the 22nd round of the Italian championship Serie B at the Carlo Castellani Stadium.

In the previous round, Empoli managed to get only a 1-1 draw against Chievo Verona at home. Their last win was back in the beginning of December, where they won 2-1 against Ascoli. They are currently at the 16th place of the table with a total of 24 points, and that's quite low for the quality of their roster.

Changes on Empoli's bench once again with Pasquale Marino taking the place of Roberto Muzzi, and the 57-year-old manager gave motivation and hopes to the team. An upcoming away game will follow against Chitadella after this round in the championship. Freddie Veseli, Marcello Gazzola, Stefano Moreo and Davide Merola are unavailable for Empoli today due to injuries.

After four consecutive victories, Crotone suffered a home defeat against Spezia by 1-2. Their performance in the field was much lower than expected and fairly they were defeated.

They are placed 3rd in the table with 34 points and I think they will stay in the top 6 till the end fo the season, and that's where they will fight for promotion. Unavailable are the injured Junior Messias, Simy and Luca Marrone. 

A long time has passed since Empoli's last win, so I expect to see a great performance from the team and give their best to get the much needed three points. Empoli to win is my call.
