Everton vs Brighton Match Preview

Everton face Brighton for the 4th round of the English Premier League.

In the previous round, Everton prevailed over West Brom on the road after an amazing performance with 2-1 and celebrated another victory in the league. They entered the pitch strongly and by the completion of the first half, they were already leading by one in the scoreline. They were tied at the 26th minute, but shortly after, before the end of the first half, they managed to take the lead once again by a penalty kick. In the second half, they continued at the same pace, keeping control and possession in the match with facing no struggle, until the end of the match. This was the 3rd victory in the league, remaining at the top of the standings with 9 points.

Last Wednesday, Everton was playing for the League Cup, where they crushed West Ham with 4-1 and qualified for the next round of the tournament.

After an exciting match last week, Brighton suffered a bittersweet defeat by 3-2 against Manchester United, at home. The final scoreline was shaped by Manchester at the dying minutes of the game, while they were also quite unlucky, as the ball hit the post 5 times!

Midweek, they faced Manchester United again, this time for the League Cup. In that game, they failed to get a positive once again, but this time, they got defeated much easier, by 3-0, ending with this result their run in the cup.

Everton's run was impressive in the league so far, as they combine positive results and nice football. Brighton, for their part, shows that they are a team that cannot be underestimated by any opponent. I expect a lot of goals as both scores with ease, while defensively both sides are quite weak.
