Everton vs O'Higgins Match Preview

Everton is ranked at the 9th place with 19 points and comes after a win three draws and a loss over the last five matches. Currently, they sit just one point behind the 7th place which is the last one that gives a ticket for the Copa Sudamericana playoffs.

They have scored a total of 14 goals which is quite decent while conceding just 12 goals and that has been very crucial for them because they have the second-best defensive side in the league. In the last five games, they managed to keep a clean sheet twice and at home, they conceded just three goals in six games. The new signing Di Yorio has proven to be worth it as he has already netted 7 goals for them until now.

O'Higgins is ranked at the 7th place with 20 points and comes after a single win two draws and two losses over the last five matches. They had a much better start in the new season but failing to win any of the past four games caused them to drop in ranks and now even risk going out of the Copa Sudamericana zone.

They have scored 15 goals but the problem has been their defensive side as they have conceded 17 goals. In the last five games, they conceded a total of six goals averaging a goal per game and failed to keep a clean sheet on four occasions. On the road, they have been just awful with a single goal scored and nine conceded.

In conclusion, I think Everton can win this match or get at least a draw out of it. The current form is better for them and considering they are in front of their fans I have to give them this slight advantage. Being on an eight-game unbeaten streak across all competitions can serve as a morale booster too. Their rivals won the last game on the road back in March and I do not see them being able to pull off a victory here.
