Ferencvaros vs Qarabag Match Preview

Ferencvaros is so close once again to reaching the playoffs of the UEFA Champions League qualifiers. After a 1-1 draw in the first leg now they play in front of their fans the match which could give them a ticket for the next stage. They had an easy duel against Tobol where after a 0-0 draw in the first game they demolished them 5-1 at home ground. Then they had to face a tougher team like Slovan Bratislava and in the first duel they even lost 1-2 at home which was quite surprising but in the return leg they showed why they deserve they credit they have as they beat Slovan Bratislava 1-4 on the road.

Now after a draw in the first game once again they have a chance to secure the qualification in front of their fans. They started the domestic league with a win too and now they have won three, drawn two, and lost one of the last six official games between UCL and OTP Bank Liga.

Qarabag, on the other hand, tried their best in the previous game in order to win but failed to do so. I think judging how they game went they could have even lost it so in the end the draw was a fair result for what the two teams showed. They have done very well to reach this stage as they took care of Lech Poznan where, after losing 1-0 on the road, they managed to beat them 5-1 at home.

But against Zurich they had troubles and we saw how they struggled where after winning 3-2 at home they went and lost 2-1 on the road. A goal during extra time allowed them to secure a ticket for the next stage and now things are even more difficult as their rivals have more experience in European competitions.

In conclusion, I think Ferencvaros can manage to win this game or get at least a draw. Like I said they have a team composed of players who are used to playing these types of games and considering the most recent duels I do not see them losing during the regular time now. Their rivals have failed to keep a clean sheet in any of the five games played in the UEFA Champions League qualifiers so far conceding a total of 7 goals in 5 matches. Qarabag on the road has lost in both duels played so far, so I do not see how they could do it now against a solid team like Ferencvaros.
