Fight for the domination

December was a bad month for The 'Citizens' as they suffered 3 losses that put them in second place of the table, having 7 points less than Liverpool. However, the made the come back in the previous round with a 3-1 away win against Southampton. They had the lead and opened early the scoreline, after the first 10 minutes of the game. Although their opponent equalized at the 37th minute, they managed to score twice until the halftime. They had also the upper hand in the second half, with some missed chances. Now their target is to win first-placed Liverpool and come closer to them so they can fight for the title again. 

On the other hand, Liverpool definitely want to continue their successful journey. In fact, they are the only team in Premier League who are still undefeated, having 17 wins and 3 draws. If they don't lose tonight, they will make a huge step for the title. Their impressive performance in the big clash against Arsenal gave them the huge 5-1 win! The 'Gunners' opened the scoreline and that was proved to be s mistake, as the 'Reds' fired with 4 goals before the end of the first half! In the second half, Liverpool were more relaxed but still had the upper hand and formed the final 5-1 at 65'.

This big clash is crucial for the title. If Manchester City win, they will stay alive for the title, otherwise, it will be almost impossible for Liverpool to lose the title. It's hard to predict the winner here, but based on the quality of both teams I expect goals. Over 2.5 will be my call.
