First step for Bourg at empty 'Stade des Alpes'

Until the very last moment, Grenoble was in 2nd place (direct promotion to Ligue 2), but season's final round was dissapointing for them. In the last round they were defeated by indifferent Entente by 2-3, a result that brought them at 3rd place. Their supporters invaded in the field after the end of the game and team was punished. Tonight's match will take place without spectators, while their supporters are not allowed to be present on Sunday's second match either. Stricker M.Chergui is suspended.

Bourg Peronnas did what they had to at Ligue's 2 final round, but win over Sochaux (2-1) wasn't enough to avoid 18th place. They had many injuries during the season, with their Captain F.Perradin losing the biggest part, while many of their players, mostly defenders, did not manage to play especially toward the end of the season. Perradin, Martin, Deneuve, Saint-Ruf and Ponroy won't play tonight, with more than 10 entries this season for each of them.

Although Grenoble finished 3rd at National, their performance at 'Stade des Alpes' wasn't satisfying. They registered 5 wins out of 16 games (5-7-4), in contrast to 8 away wins. At 2018 they had just 3 home wins, two of them against relegated Creteil and Les Herbiers. On the other hand, Bourg was very weak away having 3 wins in 19 games (3-2-14), but the Championship's level that they played was far supperior to that of their today's opponent. Let's not forget that tonight's game will take place in an empty field due to Grenoble's punishment. My choice is DNB away win.
