First win for Romania

Not much from Lithuania in UEFA Nations League so far. In the first round, they suffered a 1-0 loss from Serbia, followed by another, 2-0 in Montenegro in the 2nd round. In both games, their opponents had clearly the upper hand. Defenders T.Mikuckic and V.Andriuskevicius, as well as the attackers K.Laukzemis and N.Valskis won't play in the upcoming match.

Romania didn't manage to take all the points in their UEFA Nations League opening game vs Montenegro (0-0). They created a few goals attempts and they didn't find the net. Things got better afterwards vs Serbia in Belgrade (2--2), by taking advantage of their opponent's defensive weaknesses scoring twice, which gave them the point. Comparing to September's squad, the defenders M.Balasa, V.Chiriches, the midfielders C.Budescu, M.Pintilii and E.Bicfalvi as well as attacker F.Andone aren't on the squad this time.

Romania desparately need the win in this match to stay in contention for the first place, as they have only two points in their bag. This could be the right time, as their opponent is considered to be the weakest team of the group. Lithuania's quality prevents them from going further in the tournament, in fact they can't neither create goals attempts nor score. It's very possible to see an away win, probably with more than one goal difference.
