Gent vs Oostende Match Preview

Gent will be hosting Oostende at Ghelamco Arena for the 24th round of the Belgian Jupiler Pro League.

Gent are in the top-five in the table having collected 36 total points from 23 games played. They have been playing very well at home as they have won seven games, drawn two, and lost two.

Gent will be without Depoitre as he is ill. Ngadeu, Tissoudali and Marreh would also be missing as they are on International duty playing Africa Cup of Nations. 

Oostende are in the bottom half of the table having just 13 points. They would be without Fortes and Rocha Santos as they are on International duty while Schelfhout is injured.

Oostende do struggle when they play away from home. They have lost four out of the last five games played on the road. 

All the last four head-to-head meetings between these sides at the home of Gent ended in Gent winning. Gent's top scorer Tissoudali is with the Morocco National team but I still expect Gent to start strong and lead at the break.
