Getafe vs Ajax Match Preview Match Preview

Getafe tried really hard getting a positive result against Barcelona at Camp Nou, but they conceded two goals early in the first half and they only manage to reduce the scoreline n the second half, for the final 2-1.

This defeat ended their 4-win streak in Spanish La Liga, where they reached the 3rd place in the standings. They are now having a two-point difference from Atletico Madrid and Seville that share the 4th place.

José Bordalás will line up his best eleven for this match, all of his players are fully fit and ready for tonight's battle.

Last season's semifinalists Ajax were eliminated from their Champions League campaign early,  after the unexpected home defeat 0-3 to Valencia in the final game of the group stage. Now Ajax have to continue in the Europa League competition.

In Eredivisie, Ajax are the big favorites for the title, since, after 22 rounds played they have a 6-point difference from the 2nd placed Aalkmar. In the previous round, Ajax prevailed 3-0 over Valvaik without facing any problems at all.

Central defenders Veltman, Schuurs (8/1), as well as the attackers Neres and Promes are unavailable due to injuries.

Getafe certainly aim to a positive result in this first leg, in order to keep alive their hope for qualification as the second leg is played in Amsterdam Arena. On the other hand, Ajax is a team that fancy playing aggressive football and undoubtedly have more European experience than the hosts. 

I think Ajax will be the team that will get the ticket to the next round, but I cannot ignore the great season of Getafe, I expect at least one goal from them tonight. BTTS: Yes seems a pretty safe choice here.
