Granada vs Athletico Madrid Match Preview

Granada would be hosting Athletico Madrid in this Spanish La Liga game.

Granada is in the 15th position in the table and has not had a good season overall. In the last two seasons of La Liga, they finished at the top half of the table. They are in good form though as they are unbeaten in the last four league games and this has made them be a bit safe from the relegation zone.

Granada would miss some players in this game. Lozano and Duarte are injured, while Quini and Gonalos are suspended due to yellow cards. They would find it tough against Athletico Madrid.

Athletico is ten points ahead of Granada but they are out of form losing all the last three league games played. Two of them however were big games against Real Madrid and Sevilla. 

Athletico would be missing their main attacker Griezman as he is injured. Suarez is fit but he was very angry and was fuming on manager Simeone because he was subbed in less than sixty minutes in the recent game of Athletico. This shows a bad sign and it won't be a surprise if Someone doesn't pick him here.

All the last three head-to-head meetings between the sides ended in Athletico Madrid winning. Athletico has a better squad and even if they play away from home, I expect them to grab all three points.
