Greater motive for the Russians

Zenit eliminated Fenerbahce in the previous round and actually made the overturn after the 1-0 loss in Turkey. In the second leg they registered a 3-1 win in Russia and qualified to the next stage of Europa League knock out games. They've been always interested in this tournament so now they need to take the lead vs Villarreal, as the second leg is taking place in Spain. They are also the undeniable favourites in their domestic League at the same time. They actually sit on 1st place of the table after 18 rounds played in the Russian League.

Villarreal surprised everyone in the previous round by eliminating Sporting Lisbon. They took advantage of the fact that they won 1-0 in Portugal, so the 1-1 draw in the second leg was enough to qualify for the last 16 of the tournament. Their journey in Europe is great, but in their domestic League they are into the relegation zone, only 12 rounds before the end. 

Zenit performances in home are impressive this year. They suffered only one loss in all competitions. They are the favourites in this game while Villarreal are mostly interested in the Spanish League and how to avoid the relegation. The motive, the quality and the home factor give the lead to the home team. Zenit to win will be my call.
