Hertha Berlin vs Werder Bremen Match Preview

Hertha Berlin is ranked at 14th place with 17 points and comes after a single win a draw and three losses over the last five matches. These poor results caused them to drop in ranks week by week and now they sit only two points over the relegation zone.

With 23 goals scored until now they have one of the best offensive sides from the bottom half teams but in the last five matches they totaled only four goals which is far below their standards.

Hertha Berlin has some quality players in their team and all this struggling should end soon enough because I do not see them as a team fighting to avoid relegation. Cordoba is finally regaining his best shape from his injury and should play once again from the start alongside Piatek while backed up by Cunha. The three of them have combined for 14 goals and three assists so far.

Werder Bremen, on the other hand, is ranked at 13th place with 18 points and comes after two wins a draw and two losses over the last five matches. They seem to be an improved team this season and despite losing in the last game against B.Monchengladbach they played some nice football and had their fair share of scoring chances.

In the last five matches they also scored only four goals but from what I have seen they deserved a couple more. In attack we should see Selke and Rashica as he even showed how dangerous he can be, hitting also the post in the recent game. Considering the rivals lacks a solid defense they need to have a different approach.

In conclusion, I think both teams can score at least a goal here. Hertha Berlin plays an important game at home and will be motivated for a win which would help them climb in ranks so I guess scoring a goal is the minimum expected by them. Werder Bremen, with all the problems they have, still did well so far and I expect them also to score in this one.
