Home has the power

Although Aris made a very good start this season, there's no progression lately as they suffered 3 losses in a row, first from Panionios (1-0), then from PAOK (1-2) and in the previous round from AEK in OAKA (4-0). In the midweek Cup game they won 2-1 Aittitos Spaton (with an extreme rotation) and secured their place for the qualification to the next group stage. Tonight's game is the second one for them against a strong team in home for Super League and everyone is expecting them to play better than vs PAOK. The 64 years old manager Paco Herrera will have all the players on his disposal, except from Velez who is injured.  

On the other hand, Apollon Smyrnis proved to be a quite difficult opponent for Olympiakos in the previous round. Substitude attacker Manos scored in the dying minutes giving the valuable points to his team, after their unexpected loss in Crete from OFI (1-0). On previous Thursday, they registered an 0-2 win against Panahaiki in Patra, for the 2nd round of the Greek Cup. They travelled to Thessaloniki with many absences Ya Ya Touré, Fetfatzidis and Guerero were among them. On the contrary, striker Hassan is 100% fit and was included the squad again, but he will probably start from the bench. 

Aris' fans are expecting with anxiety this match, 'Kleanthis Vikelidis' Stadium is going to be lmost sold out. Paco Herrera's team have worked a lot, have the quality and the passion to be a difficult opponent for every team in their home. Olympiakos aren't doing great lately and in this match against Aris things are not going to be easy for them. Bet on home team with the coverage of a draw (DNB) is my call.
