Inter Milan face Shakhtar Donetsk in this knock-out semi-final of the Europa League at the Merkur Spiel Arena in Dusseldorf. In case of a draw, extra time and penalty shootout will follow.

Inter Milan prevailed in the quarter-final over Leverkusen by 2-1 and qualified deservedly in the semi-finals of the competition. They did a great start in the game taking an early two-goal lead in the first 20 minutes. Leverkusen scored later in the first half but they couldn't reach the equalizer. Inter faced no problems to keep the qualifin6 score till the final whistle. Their last title was back in 1998, so they want desperately to win the trophy this year.

Shakhtar Donetsk took an easy qualification in the previous round against Basel by winning with with the impressive 4-1. They opened the scoreline two minutes after entering the pitch, while 20 minutes later, they managed to double their lead. In the second half, Shakhtar continued at the same pace, scoring two more goals and securing their qualification. Basel managed to score the consolidation goal, in the dying minutes of the game. Shakhtar Donetsk took another step towards their dream of winning the trophy after 11 years.

With both sides being in great shape and considering their great performances in the previous round, this will be an interesting match. They have great quality and they will fight till the end for a ticket to the big final. I expect a fast-paced game with many goal scoring chances. Over 2,5 goals to be scored is my call.
