Inter vs Atalanta Match Preview

Inter prevailed in their previous game at Sao Paolo Stadium over Napoli winning 1-3 in the biggest clash of the 18th round of the Italian Serie A. This win keeps them at the top of the table, along with Juventus, and continues their run aiming for the title. It was great performance again by Romelu Lukaku who scored the first two goals for his team and led the "Nerazzurri" to secure the three points. The Belgian striker is in excellent form having scored 14 goals in Serie A so far. Inter look more mature this year than ever, avoiding bloops that could cause problems on their run for the title. At home vs Atalanta, Inter haven't lost a single game since 2014, having registered 4 wins and 1 draw since then.

This year Atalanta's run is looking great so far. In their first appearance in the Champions League group stage they managed to make history and qualify at the round of 16, while they are currently sitting at the 5th place of the Serie A standings. Atalanta won against Parma with an impressive score of 5-0, while in their last game of 2019 they had an equally impressive 5-0 win over AC Milan. However, Atalanta lack stability and this is something that has cost them several points.

It is certainly a great game between two very strong teams. I believe though that Inter have the upper hand to win this game from any perspective.
