Ireland – France Match Preview

Ireland hosts France in this UEFA EURO 2024 qualifiers football game, Group B.

Ireland is playing their first match in this group where there are also France, Netherlands, Greece and Gibraltar. Ireland is hoping that they can make a surprise and fight for the second place given that France is the big favorite for the first place. In the last few matches Ireland has played really well. They won against Latvia, Malta, Armenia and lost to Norway in their last four matches.

France demolished Netherlands in the first match of this group. They prevailed 4-0 playing really well. They are looking like the best team in Europe having the most depth in squad. Mbappe is one of the best players in the world, actually, they have 2-3 world class players in each position. In the first half they looked really well and I expect a similar approach to this game.

Ireland is playing better lately but they are allowing too much goals which will be a big problem for them against Mbappe, Griezmann, Kolo Muani. If France is going to play like they played against the Netherlands then I don't think Ireland will have any chance to handle the pressure at the start of the game.
