Italy vs England Match Preview

Italy will face England in the final of EURO 2020. The match will be held at Wembley in London in front of 60,000 spectators.

Italy was the big winner in the semi-final over Spain, 4-2 in the penalty shootout, and celebrated their qualification to the big final of UEFA EURO 2020. In the regular time of the match the two teams were level 1-1, with Italians opening the score at 60΄ being equalized at 80΄, something that drove the match to extra time. Their opponents had the upper hand in the extra 30 minutes, but the Italians kept them out of their box and found the way to qualify after the penalties shootout 

Thus they kept their undefeated record for the 33rd consecutive match in all competitions, while at the same time they won their participation in a UEFA EURO final game for the 4th time in their history.

Finally a final for England as they broke the curse that accompanied them for so many years, counting 4 eliminations in an equal number of cases where they made it to the semifinals of either the World Cup or EURO! In the semifinal with Denmark, they prevailed in overtime with 2-1. It was quite difficult, however, as they fell behind in the score at 30 ΄, however they reacted immediately equalizing a few minutes later. In the replay, they could not create dangerous situations in the opponent's area until the end of the 90 minutes. In the extra half-hour they were better and with a goal from the penalty spot at 104' they got a big victory.

With this victory, England will play in a grand final after 55 years, while having the opportunity to win the UEFA EURO for the first time in their history.

It is time for the big final between two teams that are undefeated in the tournament and both have their chances to win the trophy. Italy was one of the best teams playing nice and aggressive football, England, on the other hand, showed maturity in all their games despite their great anxiety for success after many years. Both have great quality in the midfield and upfront and I expect them to show it in this big final. My choice is Both Teams To Score (BTTS) at decent 2.10 odds.
