Las Palmas vs Girona Match Preview

Las Palmas faces Girona for the 4th round of the Spanish Segunda Division. 

After a 1-1 draw against Rayo Vallecano, Las Palmas prevailed 1-2 against Fuenlabrada in Madrid. They made a big comeback in the game with Pejino scoring 2 goals for Pepe Mel's team and deservedly got all three points. This away win brought the motivation back to the players and their goal remain to reach the playoffs.

Sergio Ezequiel Araujo and Jese Rodriguez will join the attack today for Las Palmas, as well as Pejino, one of the top scorers of the team. Maikel Mesa on the opposite remains unvailable. Next week, Las Palmas will come up against Tenerife, at home.

Girona, on the other hand, suffered a 0-1 home defeat against Almeria, while in the most recent game, they share a point with Lugo (1-1). However, they struggled to get this point, as they manage to equalize with a late goal at the added time of the game. Currently, Girona are placed in the middle of the table and aims to reach the playoff zone, but considering their recent performances, this will be a very difficult task for them.

Monchu will miss tonight's game due to suspension, as well as Sebastian Cristoforo due to multiple yellow cards on the previous rounds. Cristhian Stuani remains injured.
