Last chance

Huesca are coming from their 4th consecutive draw and they see the relegation to approach. This time they played a bore draw at Vallecano, a team that has also relegation troubles and needed the points. It was a quite close game for about 70 minutes with no risks taken from both teams, however the game was more open in the last minutes with chances from both sides. In the dying minutes Huesca missed a great chance to escape with the valuable three-pointer. Now they are still in the rock bottom of the table, having 8 points less than the 'secure' 17th place. Defenders Carlos Akapo and Jorge Pulido are not available tonight.

Eibar played well in their home game vs Athletico Madrid. José Luis Mendilibar’s team created many chances but they couldn’t find the net. The match was about to end in a bore draw, but Atletico found the net in a counter attack escaping with the important three-pointer. That was the third winless game on a streak for Eibar, but they are quite safe at the moment, having 8 points more than the red zone. Tonight Eibar have many defensive worries, experienced Arbilla and Ramis are still out, midfielder Rubén Peña also miss the match. Pedro Bigas, another defender, is also out, he is not yet 100% fit. Suspended are Joan Jordán (midfielder) and Cote (defender). 

This is the last chance for Huesca to prolong their presence in La Liga. If they stay winless for another one, they could hope only for a miracle to save their lives. Eibar is depleted for one more game, actually José Luis Mendilibar is obliged to change many players’ positions in his starting eleven. They still look for a win in the remaining 5 games to avoid any relegation traoubles. Even if the stake is big for Huesca, I cannot place my money in a team that has only 3 home wins out of 16 games played in El Alcoraz. Both teams to score seems to be a much safer choice here, the trouth is that Huesca have conceded at least once in their 14/16 home games in this season.
