Leeds vs Burnley Match Preview

Leeds is ranked at 15th place with 17 points and comes after two wins and three losses over the last five matches. They have been a bit inconsistent recently as after losing two games in a row they managed to beat Newcastle 5-2 but had a shocking 6-2 loss against Manchester United on the road.

With 24 goals scored so far they have the best offensive side from the bottom half teams and I expect the same type of football from Bielsa here. In the last five matches they scored a total of ten goals, averaging at least two goals per game and found the back of the net at least once in each duel. At home they did pretty good too with seven goals over the last five matches.

Burnley, on the other hand, is ranked at 16th place with 13 points and comes after two wins two draws and a single loss over the last five matches. This has been a huge improvement for them, considering they have lost six out of 13 games and had just a win over the first ten games this season. Now they not only climbed out of the relegation zone, but also sit two points above Fulham.

Their offensive side has been one of the poorest this season with only eight goals scored but four of them came during this positive streak in the last four games. Now they know they have to dare more when they face an offensive team like Leeds otherwise they could end up like Newcastle.

In conclusion, I think both teams can score at least a goal here. Leeds is one of the most offensive teams this year and I guess they can find the back of the net once here considering they have scored against teams like Leicester or Liverpool. Burnley is slowly finding a good momentum and will try their best to come out with a positive result. Their rivals have the worst defense in the league so I expect them to punish Leeds at least once.
