Liverpool vs Everton Match Preview

At Anfield, we have the Premier League's Merseyside Derby between Liverpool and Everton.

Liverpool are in second position in the standings just one point behind Manchester City. Liverpool this season have lost just two games which is a very good sign. There is no side in the Premier League this season that has scored more goals than Liverpool as they have scored 83 times. 

Liverpool thrashed Manchester United by four goals to nil in their last game played. They do not have any injury issues apart from Firmino who is doubtful. Even though he was fit, he hardly would have started the game as Diaz has been doing so well this season..

Everton are just one place above the relegation zone. They have played a game less than the 18th placed Burnley and are one point ahead. It would be very shocking if Everton gets relegated this season. 

The arrival of Lampard has made no difference to this Everton side and they definitely need new signings to strengthen their weak squad. In this game, Everton will be without Van De Beek, Calvert Lewin, and Townsend.

The last head-to-head meeting between these sides ended in Everton getting thrashed by four goals to one. I expect Liverpool to take the lead early and win at the break in this game.
