Liverpool vs Southampton Match Preview

Liverpool is in 8th place at the moment with 19 points. They will look to win this game and advance in the table. In the last game week, they got a win against Tottenham with 2 goals from Mo Salah but before that, they lost 2 matches in a row, against Leeds and Nottingham Forrest which was disappointing. They have some players back from injuries, like Nunez, and Thiago. Liverpool hey played really well against Napoli and Tottenham.

Southampton lost their last game in the Premier League against Newcastle and that loss was the last game for their coach. They are now without a head coach and they will look to find a replacement during the World Cup break. They won a cup game against Sheffield Wednesday so that is a positive sign for them. Currently, they are in 18th place in the table and this match is going to be really tough for them at Anfield.

Southampton's attack is not that good and Liverpool will have a great opportunity to keep a clean sheet. Their defense is not good this season but recently they started to tighten up in defense with clean sheets against strong sides like Manchester City, West Ham, Ajax, and Napoli in the last 9 games.
