Lokomotiv Moscow vs Zenit Petersburg Match Preview

Lokomotiv Moscow face Zenit for the 6th round of the Russian Premier League.

After a very bad performance, Lokomotiv suffered a 3-2 home defeat last week against Ahmat Gronzy. In the first half, they conceded two goals and despite their improvement in the second half, they could not change the final result.

This was the second consecutive defeat for Lokomotiv, which keeps them in the middle of the standings with 7 points in total, 5 points away from today's opponent, Zenit.

After an amazing run of staying undefeated for 22 rounds, Zenit suffered their first defeat against Dynamo by 1-0. Despite their good start in the game, they couldn't manage to score, and at the 40th minute of the game, they conceded the one and only goal of the game.

Despite the result, Zenit is in the first place of the table with 12 points and for this season they are again the big favorites to win the title.

Lokomotiv Moscow's facing many troubles since the begining of the season something that combined with the missings in their roster, it will take long to show improvement. Zenit, from the other side, will try to change things up after the defeat in the previous game. Since they are far better team than Lokomotiv, I expect them to get all three points easily. Zenit to win is my call.
