Malta - Italy Match Preview

Malta and Italy will play in this group C game for the UEFA EURO 2024 qualifiers. 

This is the second match for Malta as they lost their first one1-2 to North Macedonia. In this match they will have a tougher task because Italy is a much better team than North Macedonia and it will be interesting to see if Malta can do something in this match. They will play at home which is the only advantage for them.

Italy lost to England in their first match of the qualifiers. It was probably the most interesting match of the first round but Italy did not played at all well in that match and England won without many problems as they had an early 0-2 lead. Italy will need to play better in these qualifiers because Ukraine and North Macedonia are teams that can do some upsets and Italy could miss another big competition.

Italy does not have a strong defence like they had in the previous years with Maldini, Nesta, Cannavaro, Bonnuci, Chiellini, Barzagli. Still, they should have no problems against weak Malta's attack. I believe that Italy will keep the ball possession for long periods of time and Malta will not be able to score a single goal in this match.
