Manchester City - Crystal Palace Match Preview

In this match of the English Premier League, Manchester City will host Crystal Palace. After a disappointing result in the previous round in which they drew against Newcastle, the Citizens will try to get back to winning ways as soon as possible.

Manchester City are the reigning champions of the Premier League. Erling Haaland is their big new signing, and he is already delivering goals for his team. In 3 matches played, 3 goals were scored by this world-class player. I expect a lot from him in this match tomorrow. As I have stated, Man City drew in their last round against Newcastle. An exciting match in which City were down 3:1 but did have a lot of opportunities in the end to win the match. There were a lot of problems in the defense for them, and they will have to improve.

At the Ettihad Stadium, City is really fantastic. They have won five matches in a row and have scored 20 goals in the process. Manchester City will be without the services of the injured Laporte and Grealish, whose condition is questionable.

Crystal Palace are a solid team. Out of the first three rounds played in the Premier League, this team managed to win one match, draw in one and suffer one loss. They have won two in a row across all competitions. They won the cup match against Oxford 2:0 and the Premier League against Aston Villa 3:1 in the last round.

But this will be a completely different match for both sides. Crystal Palace did manage to beat City last time they played at Ettihad (2:0), but I do not think they will repeat that performance tomorrow. They will play in this match without James Tomkins, Jack Butland and Nathan Ferguson who are all injured.
 
Manchester City need to tighten their defense a bit and be aware of the counter-attack of the away team. They will be hungry for a big win after the disappointing result against Newcastle. They have scored a lot of goals against much better teams than Crystal Palace. In their last 12 Premier League matches, City has scored at least two goals in all of them. Anything but a big win for the Citizens would be a huge surprise here.
