Manchester City – Liverpool Match Preview

Manchester City and Liverpool will play in this English Premier League derby, right after the international break.

Manchester City is still in the title race, however, this game could easily end their title hopes. If they lose against Liverpool then it would be extremely hard for them to catch Arsenal because they have 8 points more. Arsenal has a tougher schedule, however, they have only to fight for the Premier League title while Manchester City has also to play in the UEFA Champions League competition

Liverpool is out of the UEFA Champions League and their main goal until the end of the season is to catch a top-4 spot that qualifies in the next season's UEFA Champions League. It is not going to be that easy because Newcastle and Tottenham are tough opponents. Liverpool has an easy schedule until the end and they have a lot of players back from injuries so they could be improved.

Both teams have really good attacks but their defense is problematic. Liverpool's defense is very bad this season as they are allowing a lot of goals. Manchester City got some clean sheets in the last few matches but Liverpool has scored against them in the last 7 consecutive matches. BTTS is my pick here.
