Manchester City - Manchester United Match Preview

In this match of the eighth round of the English Premier League, Manchester City welcomes Manchester United. United surprised City in three of the last four away matches. Back then, the odds on United were from 7 to 9 in all three. So, three big surprises.

City has been the champions of England four times in the last five seasons. They are again title contenders, in second place, having one point less than first-placed Arsenal. They have scored 23 goals in seven matches. Haaland is in excellent form, having scored nearly half of City's goals in just seven games.

United is playing solidly at the beginning of the new season. They started with two hard defeats against Brighton and Brentford, but in the last four rounds, they have only victories. In the last match in the league, they beat first-placed Arsenal 3:1.

Manchester City, in my opinion, is the clear favorite. I don't believe they will lose to United at home again. This will be a big test for Ten Haag and his team. The last time they played at the Etihad, it was a comfortable 4:1 win for City.
