Manchester City vs Brentford Match Preview

Manchester City is going to host Brentford in the 16th game week of the English Premier League.

Manchester City won their last game with a late Erling Haaland goal from the penalty spot. They played with a red card for the majority of the game and in the end, they were a little bit lucky. They are still the main favorite for the title and as of right now only Arsenal is ahead of them and they are the only team that is looking like a serious contender.

Brentford played their last game without their main attacker Ivan Toney and got a draw against Nottingham Forrest. They also played a cup game with a strong squad but that ended in a defeat against Gillingham. That was their fifth game without a win and 8th in the last 9 games, so they are in poor form overall and a break would benefit them.

Manchester City won their midweek cup game against Chelsea but they rested their main players like Foden, Haaland, Cancelo, Ederson, Kevin De Bruyne. They will have a pretty rested squad and I expect them to go full-strength in this game with Haaland. Brentford's away-from-home record is poor, actually, they have allowed 2,4, and 5 goals in the last 3 matches on the road. Citi to win half time and full time is my pick in this one.
