Manchester City vs Everton Match Preview

Manchester City is ready to celebrate their title in front of their fans and also have a final test before the Champions League final. They come after three wins and two losses over the last five matches but of course the two losses came in the most recent three outings against Chelsea and Brighton, after they were confirmed as champions.

With 78 goals they have the best offensive side in the league, averaging more than two goals per game and in the last five matches they scored a total of 11 goals, while managing to find the back of the net in each duel.

Aguero is fit and is expected to play from the start in his last match for Manchester City and if he does not start we should see Gabriel Jesus who has already scored 8 goals and provided 4 assists. Sterling, De Bryne and Gundogan are expected to be rested ahead of the Champions league final, but I think Torres 7 goals - 2 assists and Mahrez 9 goals - 5 assists will provide enough quality upfront.

Everton, on the other hand, is ranked at the 8th place with 59 points and is still struggling to secure a spot in the European competitions next season. After a much needed win against Wolves last time now they have to repeat theselves and hope for a false step from Tottenham against Leicester.

They come after two wins a draw and two losses over the last five matches which shows some inconsistency for them, but their advantage here is that they will find a team who might not play with their best men and that will have no motivation to fight hard for a win.

In the last five matches, they scored just three goals and now in the final duel they will try and dare more in order to outscore an offensive team like Manchester City. There is nothing left to defend for as Arsenal is just one point behind them and has an easier game.

In conclusion, I think both teams can score at least a goal here. Manchester City will try to put on a good performance for the fans who are finally back but I do not expect them to struggle that much the whole 90 mins. Being at home and with fans on the stands I expect a goal by them. Everton needs the three points and their only choice will be to attack more. Calvert-Lewin 16 goals and Richarlison 7 goals - 3 assists are expected to start for them.
