Manchester City vs Real Madrid Match Preview

Manchester City face Real Madrid in this 2nd leg for the last 16 in the Europa League knock-out stage.

Manchester City has fallen over the stunning Liverpool this year, actually, they were competitive at any point to fight for the Premier League title. Man City finished 2nd in the standings and won their participation in the next season's Champions League. 

In the first leg played in Madrid, despite the fact that they were back in the scoreline since the 60th minute, they managed to score two goals in a few minute spell and grab the victory. This result gave them a huge advantage to secure their qualification for the quarter-finals of the competition.

Real Madrid won the Spanish La Liga title after 3 years, since the 2016-2017 season where they had also Zinedine Zidane on their bench. Their home defeat in the first match, back in February, forces them to give their best to get the qualification here.

Manchester City's victory in the first leg makes them the absolute favorite to qualify here. Since then, however, much has changed. Man City did not impress with their performance, which resulted in losing easily the domestic title, unlike Real who improved much and celebrated the title in Spain. The odds here underestimate the Spanish side,  who have won the Champions League title 3 times in the last five years! I will take the risk here, going with Real Madrid to win, offered at huge 4.55 with Winmasters.
