Manchester United vs Aston Villa Match Preview

Manchester United faces Aston Villa at Old Trafford for the 17th round of the English Premier League.

Manchester United won over Wolves after a close game last Tuesday, scoring a late goal in the added time. This win allowed them to keep their uptrend in the standings. They struggled a lot to crack the tough defensive line of their opponents, however, they were clearly the better side in the last 30 minutes and deservedly won. 

This was their 7th win in the last 9 rounds for United. They are now 2nd-placed in the table having 30 points, just three points below league leaders Liverpool. 

Aston Villa played a draw vs Chelsea on the road last Monday and they are deservedly in the top-5 of the table. They found themselves back in the scoreline after 34 minutes of the game, however, they found early the equalizer at the beginning of the second half, and finished the game being the strongest side on the pitch.

After this outcome, Aston Villa extended their unbeaten streak to 5 league games and are sitting in the 5th spot of the table.

Manchester United is now at their best from the beginning of the season and with another win here they'll catch first-placed Liverpool. Aston Villa from their side continues playing effectively and they are surprising the Premier League fans being 5th-placed. I expect an entertaining match here between two quality teams who can easily create and score. Over 2.5 goals is my call in this one.
