Manchester United vs Manchester City Match Preview

In tonight's highlighted Premier League match, Manchester United face Manchester City for the 12th round. 

After many seasons, United will face City in Manchester's derby being ahead in the league table. The Red Devils are aiming to finish again at a top-4 spot in the league getting a Champions League ticket, in such a difficult season with very competitive opponents. 

Manchester United finished unsuccessfully their Champions League campaign, paying for their false step of losing a 2-1 to Basaksehir in Instabul, as they failed to qualify in the last 16 of the competition.

Manchester City, on the other hand, had an average start in the league, but in the last 2 rounds, they’ve shown a lot of improvement, registering 2 consecutive wins. However, they have to keep up their pace in order to reach the title this season. In the Champions League group stage, they had a pretty easy task finishing comfortably 1st in their group.

Considering the quality of these two teams, Man City has clearly a better roster for one more season. Also, it has to be considered that there’s no home advantage in this game, as it will be held behind closed doors due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Over 2,5 goals to be scored is my call for this one, as both sides fancy playing offensive football and are scoring with ease in their games.
