St Truiden opened the scoreline and had the upper hand in Kortrijk, but until the end of the first half their opponent had already scored twice, the second goal was clearly by their goalkeeper's mistake. Although they tried to make the overturn, they conceded a third one in the second half. Their 3-1 loss in Kortrijk was absolut deserved.
