Marseille – Lille Match Preview

In this French Ligue 1 match, Marseille will play at home ground against Lille. This could be a fantastic match with a lot of goals. Both teams are solid this season and are playing great.

Marseille is in third place at the moment and are in good form. They won five out of last six games and did not lose a single one. They are playing away from home much better than on Velodrome and that will have to change if they want to play in Champions League next season.

Lille are reigning champions in France. But this season they had a rough start. However, they have improved a lot in last month and a half or so. They lost only one match in last ten played across all competitions. That was in French Cup where they lost to Lens only after penalties.

Both teams want to win this match. Marseille want to win in order to stay in top 3 at the table while Lille will not give up that easily for a European spot at least. They are only five points behind the fourth-placed team Lens but they also have two games in hand. In last four games at Velodrome between these sides both teams were able to score at least a goal. I will once again go with the goals tomorrow.
