Nagoya vs Yokohama Match Preview

Nagoya face Yokohama in the 33rd round of the J. League at Toyota Stadium.

Nagoya remains undefeated in the last two rounds, as they drew 0-0 against Trinita Oita, while they prevailed 0-1 over Kashiwa on the road. After these results, they remain 3rd in the standings with a total of 59 points, having 1 point difference from Cerezo Osaka. Their main goal is a ticket for the next season's AFC Champions League, and in order to achieve that, they have to get a positive result here.

The only missing for Massimo Ficcadenti's team is the 31-year-old striker Mū Kanazaki due to injury.

Yokohama, on the other hand, managed to share pointd in the previous home game against Sagan Tosu. The visitors were far better on the pitch but failed to double their lead. Yohokama have lost their momentum in the last few rounds, and as a result, they dropped to 15th place of the standings with 29 points. I don't expect any kind of improvement in the last few remaining rounds of the league.

Today's missings for Yokohama are the strikers Koki Saito and Matsuo. 

The hosts will seek the valuable three-pointer here in order to secure their spot in the next season's AFC Champions League. Nagoya definitely has the upper hand to win here, considering also the home advantage. The home team to win is my call in this one  and I also expect from Nagoya to cover the -1.5 Asian Handicap.
