Nantes - Juventus Match Preview

Nantes hosts Juventus in the second leg of their playoff tie in the UEFA Europa League.

The first leg between these two teams played in Italy ended in a 1:1 draw. In the French league, Nantes is in 13th place. They are quite solid at home, and in the last ten matches played at home across all competitions, they have lost only two. Ludovic Blas is in fine form for his team and has scored three goals in the last four matches in which he has played.

Juventus is a much bigger name in European football. The Italian giants have all sorts of problems in the club, but they still should have too much for the French side. Juventus was the better team in the first leg, but one mistake cost them dearly. After the disastrous defeat against Monza Juventus started playing much better and have won four out of their last five matches.

Juventus will struggle to get to the next season's UEFA Champions League after the huge point deduction from the Italian Football Association. They will try to go all the way in the UEFA Europa League trying to secure an UEFA Champions League spot that way. I have no doubt who is the stronger team here.
