Newcastle vs West Ham Match Preview

English Premier League returns this weekend after the FA cup games and one of the most interesting matches will be this one between Newcastle and West Ham.

Newcastle is one of the best teams in the league this season and they are doing really well. If they manage to continue like this and maybe have a little bit of luck that Liverpool and Chelsea are going to continue their bad form, they can win a Champions League spot for the next season. Currently they are in 3rd place and they continue their big fight with Manchester United, Liverpool, and Tottenham for those spots that are leading to next season's UEFA Champions League.

West Ham is one of the disappointments in the league this season. They are in 16th place having only 18 points in 20 games. That is only 1 point above relegation. This team played in European competitions in the last two seasons and was in the top-7 places. This season they are unrecognizable and they will definitely need some changes. Moyes made a change in the last match and played 3-5-2 formation. They looked good in defence but this match will be a real test.

Newcastle has the best defence in the league as they have allowed only 11 goals in 20 matches. That is impressive and it is really hard to score against them. West Ham is a team with quality and it will be a tough game for Newcastle. In the last 6 Premier League games, Newcastle didn't allow a single goal and it will be hard for West Ham to score here but Newcastle's attack is also not that prolific so there is a decent possibility that this will be a low-scoring affair.
