Norway vs Serbia Match Preview

Norway faces Serbia for a ticket for EURO 2020 final stage (due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the tournament will be held in 2021). Tonight's game is a knock out one, and the winner will face in the final the team that will qualify from the other semifinal, Scotland vs Israel.

Norway deserved to fight for a spot in the EURO 2020 final stage through the UEFA Nations League process, even if they finished below Spain and Sweden in the 6th qualifying group of the tournament. It is worth mentioning, that Norway was defeated only once in that qualification group, with a total record of 4-5-1.

In the UEFA Nations League 20/21, they started the tournament with a 1-2 home loss to Austria back in September, but three days later, they bounced back prevailing with an impressive 1-5 away win over Northern Ireland.

Serbia started with a defeat as well, 3-1 to Russia in the new UEFA Nations League competition, followed by a home bore draw against Turkey, in a game where they stood with a player less for almost the whole second half.

Serbia's missing for today's match is Matic from Manchester United, who probably retired from playing for the national team.

Norway seems to be in a better momentum this period, with more reliable players on the attack than their opponent. I expect them to enter the pitch more offensively, scoring the first goal of the match. DNB for the hosts is my call for this one, actually think that it will be a big upset if Serbia wins this match.
