OFI Crete vs Volos NFC Match Preview

OFI continues to underperform, coming from another defeat, this time against AEK at home. Despite their effort, they failed to get something positive out of the game and seemed to struggle a lot creating chances on target. From what we've seen so far this season, their overall performance is below average and seems pretty week on the attack. Against any opponent they face, they always play very defensively and usually, search for counters attacks to score. The only missing for the hosts today will be Praxitelis Vouros.

Volos, on the other hand, comes from a goalless draw in the previous round against Larisa. They kept pressing hard to regain possession of the ball and tried to break the opponent's defensive line with vertical passes, but still, failed to open the scoreline. However, I think Volos played better and deserved to take all three points. Also, Douvikas missed a big chance of scoring a late goal at the 85th minute of the game. So far, Volos seem to have secured their presence in the top division and now they focus on the Greek Cup to go as far as possible. The last-minute adjustments of their manager include Rivas and Miloc for the game against OFI.

In the first leg of the third round, Volos prevailed 2-0 over OFI and this will put a difficult task today to the hosts. OFI will fight till the end for a ticket for the next round, but the hosts struggle a lot on the attack this season and as I mentioned before, they remain scoreless in the last six rounds, which makes them seem a lot weaker in tonight's matchup.
